GFM Live: Tasha Cobbs Leonard Kicks Off the Revival Tour in Atlanta

Motown Gospel recording artist and Grammy winner Tasha Cobbs Leonard is a worshipper who just happens to be a vocalist. She doesn't lead audiences/congregations into worship... she brings worship with her and they catch hold of it. She explained to the crowd that instead of naming her tour after her album, she named it THE REVIVAL TOUR because revival is not an event-- it's a place that you dwell in.

Enjoy our pics from the show.

Also, Cobbs Leonard released a musical companion piece Heart. Passion. Pursuit.: Live at Passion City Church. This project is the follow-up to her record-breaking 2017 album and was captured at Atlanta’s renowned Passion City Church. It offers 19 live performances, and over an hour of music, stories and testimonies.

Lexi In The Room Single

Check out "In The Room" by Motown Gospel recording artist and TV personality Lexi. As you listen, note some of the lyrics... the atmosphere changes when God is "In The Room". Produced by the acclaimed rhythm and praise duo Dawkins and Dawkins, "In The Room" is from the forthcoming album, Just Listen. Watch Lexi explain the song below as well as the official visuals for the song,

"You are the, You are the light
And You're never going out
Never never going out
Everything changes, when You're in the room
Heart gets better, pieces come together
I can see forever
When You're in the room

As I recall, chains fall
Grace comes quick and through
When You're in the room my hands go up
And I think about where I've been
Cos every time I let You in, Lord it's a win
So when You're in the room, don't leave
Cos I love Your company
Feels like heaven here with You
When You're in the room"

Brian Courtney Wilson

GFM Spotlight [Video] Interview: Brian Courtney Wilson Talks Grace & A Great Work

When Brian Courtney Wilson talks about A Great Work-- he's talking about what God is doing on this side of heaven still. However this album, his second on Motown Gospel, is aptly named because it is a great body of work indeed. We feel it's Wilson's best project to date. This album has lyrical integrity. It ministers. A gospel album should have and do that certainly-- but Wilson doesn't forget that he is making music. Every note played, every sound added and every phrase sung is done with intent and attention to detail-- something that much of today's music lacks because of the takeover of beat makers as opposed to producers. In addition to his long time writing collaborator and producer Aaron Lindsey, Wilson brought in some additional songwriting and production hitters. LaShawn Daniels, Luther "Mano" Hanes, Eric Dawkins, Warryn Campbell and the legendary Marvin L. Winans are among those who also contributed to "A Great Work". Wilson said Winans had him at "Hello, this is Marvin Winans calling," and in fact the Winans-penned "My Witness Is In Heaven" is a standout among the nine other tracks on the album that are quite strong respectively. There are no tracks to skip.

Enjoy our video interview and do yourself a favor and get the album. It's a balance of traditional and contemporary gospel with R&B seasoning all over it and great singing to boot. It is rhythm and praise... it's grown folks gospel... it's good music... period.

Check out A Great Work. GFM Favorites: "Our Father Is Kind", "Thank You Lord", "Noise", "A Great Work" "My Witness Is In Heaven"

Now Playing: Brian Courtney Wilson: "A Great Work"

Brian Courtney Wilson is not just a gospel artist-- he's an artist-- period. The fact that he brings the good news message in his artistry is an added bonus. As a singer-songwriter, he knows how to craft contemporary music with the perfect balance of God-centered lyrics, beautiful harmonies and strong vocals from himself and the background vocalists who have been on point throughout Wilson's last three albums on anthem-like tunes such as "Already Here", "Closer" and the Grammy-nominated "Worth Fighting For".

"A Great Work" is no exception. Let it bless you. "A Great Work" is from Brian Courtney Wilson's forthcoming new album of the same name.
