Some new audio goodness making the rounds from friend to GFM Jesse Fischer & Sly5thAve (multi-instrumentalist/producer a/k/a Sylvester Onyejiaka, Prince’s bari sax player). They’ve collaborated to bring us an energetic and forward sounding revamp of Herbie Hancock’s classic “Chameleon”.
Jesse will be playing a special show this Sunday, June 8, at the Highline Ballroom in NYC, as part of the Blue Note Jazz Fest. They will be playing the entire Head Hunters LP as well as some other Herbie favorites. Gregoire Maret is their featured guest, and Jason Miles’ Global Noize is the headliner.
