Certainly being the granddaughter of of legendary King of the Blues, B.B. King doesn’t hurt, but Val B. King’s talent goes before her and we are all the better for this irrefutable fact.
Produced by the imitable Frank McComb So Many Ways gives the listener so many shades of the smooth and soothing side of music. From the opener “Ooh You” that features Najee the life that runs through this nine song set is music and not gimmickry.

A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director.
