One of the smoothest fellas of R&B in the ’90s is back: Mr. Keith Washington. It’s good to see him back on the scene, but it was hard to get excited about this song because from Keith, one expects melodies that take you to that special place. This song just blends into the rest of the music out right now. The lyrics of “Thinkin Bout You” are classic Keith Washington–saying all the right things to the ladies. It sounds current, that’s why it blends into the musical landscape of today and he gets points for not dating himself, but it doesn’t have the impact that a “comeback” single should. The song doesn’t stay on the mind after it goes off. Yet and still, it’s great to see him and we will wait patiently to see what else he has to offer.
