Last weekend Mable House Barnes Amphitheatre played host to two Legends of Hip Hop concerts!
The lineup included Hip Hop veterans Chubb Rock, Slick Rick, Big Daddy Kane and KRS-One. Rakim was scheduled as the headliner however, he wasn’t in attendance. Host MC Lightfoot kept the crowd laughing all night. Comedian Lav Luv and former Yo! MTV Raps host Ed Lover made appearances.
The crowd was hype both nights and a true Hip Hop fan named Heriberto traveled from Puerto Rico with vinyl albums in hand. Big Daddy Kane hopped off the stage and didn’t miss a beat while performing songs requested by the crowd. Slick Rick showed us why he’s known as Hip Hop’s Greatest Storyteller. Chubb Rock took everyone down memory lane with his performance. KRS-One kept the crowd on their feet.
Be sure to check out the Wade Ford Concert Series powered by Royal Entertainment productions for more dope concerts..
