GFM Fam we wanted to put you on to the sound of Jayanti a rising artist hailing from Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Jayanti was 1 of 4 fresh faces of July on YouTube’s Music Tuesdays channel. Jayanti’s official video for her original track “Girl From Mars” (featured above) has garnered over 200,000 views on You Tube, no small feat for original material (I’ll write a blog post someday on my thoughts about viewership on original vs. covered material).
The single “Girl From Mars” is available on iTunes as well as Jayanti’s Bandcamp page. There is a sweetness and sincerity to Jayanti’s sound: soft but at the same time declarative and focused. I suggest that you keep your eyes and ears open for more from Jayanti.
