Psst. Hey. #Growns this that good, good. You know the kind that you need to pass along. The latest from Memphis, TN independent soul singer Talibah Safiya! Talibah describes “Waiting All Night” as “a late night bop that’s easy to listen to and very relatable.” True. True. Talibah also describes herself as “a good vibes singer/songwriter” which I would also affirm with a true, true.
All my kitsch aside, this is great work. Artists like Talibah Safiya are important because they cement the notion that great music is being made, and expose mainstream outlets for their failure to promote the great over the (often paid to promote) mediocre.
“Waiting All Night” from Talibah Safiya out now.
