We often look at someone’s life and try to define all that they have done by the line that exists between birth and death. I was never the most astute student of mathematics, but I believe someone once told me that a line doesn’t end unless there is a point on the end, you just have imagine it going on forever.
It’s not hard to imagine that type of infinite legacy at all with the music and the life of John Lennon it really is easy if you try.
Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
