Alright Grown Folks, it’s that time again!!!
It’s time for another 1st Hit Listening Lounge with a DJ known for his “Slot Machine” mixtape series and recently teased us with a new track, What A Mess featuring Jessica Johnson from his upcoming EP, Playin’ Favorites. Yes everybody, I’m talking about none other than DJ Applejac aka Uncle Shecky!! From jazz, soul, funk and all its cousins, DJ Applejac does it all and we’ll get a chance to “meet & greet” with him Sunday, August 21st at Moods Music, 7:30pm – 9:00pm hosted by the lovely Jodine of Jodine’s Corner. Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
