Growns, we’re pleased to kick off our 2020 Spotlight Interview season with Jon B. After two sold-out shows at City Winery in Atlanta, Jon took time to speak with us about working with fellow R&B crooner Donell Jones on their new bop, “Understand”, the vibe of his forthcoming new album, his evolution as a music artist and belief that the fans will rock with it, and of course he answers the question, “What is your definition of Grown Folks Music?”

Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
