Got something great to add to your yuletide soundtrack from our left coast friend PC Muñoz. “The Angel Gabriel” is an art-funk arrangement of the traditional Basque carol featuring virtuoso vocalist Dave Worm (of Bobby McFerrin’s Voicestra) doing some Gregorian-chant style turns. PC just realized the track last week and we’ve got it here today just in time for the Season. So as we always sound ’round these parts “press play!”.
Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
