Lead single from the upcoming album Supercharged! due out this Spring from singer, songwriter, and guitarist Kwanza Jones. Described as “An eclectic blend of soul fused pop mixed with modern acoustics and an R&B kiss…” Kwanza has already received comparisons to the likes of India.Arie and Alicia Keys.
Kwanza recently joined Beyonce, Katie Ford, Halle Berry, Lee Daniels and more in support of ‘Girls Are Not for Sale’ Campaign, which is part of GEMS Organization. She will appear in the music video for charity single “This is to Mother You” featuring Sinead O’Connor and Mary J. Blige which will debut next month.
Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
