Now I was first introduced to flutist, Jef Kearns by his first video, On the Level. What I enjoy about his artistry by far is his two dimensional approach to the music. While it is first and foremost about the music, his videos carry a visual aspect that interestingly captures your attention as well. This song, Play On, has a laid back feel of hip hop, R&B and jazz that’s as cozy as a Sunday afternoon but it also combines a play on the motion graphics that can remind you of a modern urban take of The Beatles film, Yellow Submarine in certain instances. Here is Jef’s latest single, Play On also available on iTunes and don’t forget to catch him on his website, www.jefkearns.com
