Fans of Soul the place to be this Saturday is RVA at the historic Hippodrome Theater in the Speakeasy Lounge where it’s all going down. This special evening of music hosted by GFM fave Jarrard Anthony will be highlighted by a performance by two other GFM faves Honey Larochelle backed by J. Tucker & The Krewe and capped off by a special performance by Noel Gourdin and listening event featuring selections from his latest City Heart, Southern Soul . This should prove to be the hottest ticket in town, so any of the GFM Fam if you are in the RVA area on Saturday, don’t meet me there beat me there for a Soul of a time.

Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
