Wow. This has been a rough few years, and last few months in particular for music fans worldwide. I’m sad to report that legendary soul singer, Dee Dee Warwick (Dionne’s sister) passed away at the age of 63 in New Jersey after a long illness. Although not known to most, she was a highly regarded, influential force as a session singer, gospel artist and background singer. She was most famous for working with artists like Aretha Franklin, Nina Simone and Wilson Pickett.
