On this day in 1972, Soul Singer Linda Jones collapsed into a diabetic coma and later died after a show at the Apollo Theatre. She was only 27. Linda was best known for her 1967 #1 record, Hypnotized, written by Richard Poindexter and Gloria Spolding.

came out of her mouth. She epitomized the true meaning of R&B
and it rained on us from her like water. She’s truly missed, but it still
rings true in her daughter Terry Jones with her group “Helen and Terry”!!
