Simply, simply beautiful is this latest track from Merna (the Palestinian vocalist formerly known as Ayah) “A Little More” which is culled from her sophomore studio release entitled The Calling which find Ali Shaheed Muhammad handling the Executive Producer duties.
Over here at GFM HQ a few of us having been diggin the sounds from Merna for a minute as we were always vibin’ to the work she was putting out with DJ Jazzy Jeff. “A Little More” was the subject of one of our roundtables this week and the response was overwhelmingly in the affirmative that this is a beautiful piece of music that you need to hear and share!

Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
