In anticipation of her upcoming EP Rebirth Motown, which is scheduled to be released in the Summer of 2012, Terry Dexter is giving us a preview of the audio goodness that she is currently working on in the studio. Terry who is a veteran of stage and studio having worked with such notable artists as Eric Benet, Patti LaBelle, Will.I.am, and Jahiem, has a voice that has been described as pure and powerful. I can recall having that very reaction the first time I saw Terry perform when she was out with Eric Benet and stood in for Tamia on the classic “Spend My Life”.
Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
