Platinum Recording Artist Tamela Mann received six Gospel Music Stellar Awards including the statue for Artist of The Year at last weekend’s Gospel Music Stellar Awards presented at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, NV. She performed her No. 1 Gospel radio single and this year’s Stellar Award winning Urban Inspirational Single/Performance of The Year, “God Provides,” and performed “My World Needs You” with music hit maker Kirk Franklin on the show.

“I am honored and humbled to be recognized by the Gospel Music Stellar Awards this year with these awards,” said Tamela. “Thank you to Don Jackson, Erma Gray Davis, Central City Productions and SAGMA for their continued support. And many thanks to my peers and the fans for voting for me.”

In addition to winning Artist of The Year, Tamela took home awards for Albertina Walker Female Vocalist of The Year, Producer of The Year (One Way), Traditional Female Vocalist of The Year, Traditional CD of The Year (One Way), and Urban Inspirational Single/Performance of The Year (“God Provides”).

On the heels of Stellar Awards weekend, Tamela is releasing her new single, “Change Me” to Gospel radio this week. The single release follows a string of No. 1 tracks, including her most recent chart-topper, “God Provides.” Tamela set a historic personal and industry record as the first Gospel lead artist in Billboard Gospel radio chart history to score three consecutive No. 1’s from an album. The run of hits includes “Take Me To The King,” “I Can Only Imagine,” and “This Place” from her previous No. 1 album, Best Days.
