In our humble opinion we really can’t talk about R&B and soul music for the Grown generation without mentioning Anthony Hamilton. He is unapologetically soulful– always adding a little “Cornbread, Fish & Collard Greens” flavor in all that he does and he’s consistently blessed the genre with each of his projects. It’s also worth mentioning that he’s part of a class of male R&B singers that may be heading toward extinction yet he carries the torch effortlessly.
Grown Folks Music had a few minutes to chat with Anthony Hamilton and we talked about carrying the banner for soul music, The Hamiltones, the song that got away and his definition of Grown Folks Music, of course. Watch the video and enjoy.
