From his work as musical director for artists such as Maroon 5, Eminem, Jay-Z, Janet Jackson, Drake, Mary J. Blige and Kanye West, and many others, Adam Blackstone is truly a musical force to be reckoned with and what’s just as amazing as the list of acts he’s worked with is the fact that Adam has done what would seem like several lifetimes of playing and producing at age 30.

A multi-instrumentalist Adam got his start at the tender age of 6 playing in church with his father Rod Blackstone (a pianist of renown in his own right), and from the looks of his resume he just kept going.

As a producer, Blackstone was named one of BMI’s “Top 10 Producers to Watch,” with his production credits including works with Jill Scott, Joss Stone, Kanye West and Diane Burch, to name a few. Blackstone’s work currently can be heard on tour with Chris Brown, Janet Jackson, Kid Cudi, and he frequently can be seen on shows as “Saturday Night Live,” “Ellen,” “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” and “Late Night with David Letterman.”

I would love to see a big groundswell of support for Adam from the GFM Family. It is my hope that if you have a young budding musician in your household or neighborhood that you might pass along this story of Adam Blackstone to inspire them to seek out this level of accomplishment ever reminding them that it takes a lot of hard work and discipline but the outcome…

Show Adam some love on his FB page here or you can follow him on Twitter here.
