There is a certain standard that always comes with a Rahsaan Patterson project and like the title of the song says sometimes reaching that standard is “Easier Said Than Done”. To consistently put out material of this caliber takes hard work, perseverance and talent. Honestly, Rahsaan proves time and time again that the key to his success is the dedication he has to all three attributes. That’s why his music sounds the way it does, period. Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
