From the press release
New York, NY – LaFace/Jive Records is set to release P!nk’s Greatest Hits… So Far!!! next week.
The ultimate fan collection contains a decade’s worth of her hit songs along with two new songs, the No.1 hit, “Raise Your Glass” and the rousing esteem builder “F**kin’ Perfect,” both produced by über-producer Max Martin and co-written by P!nk.
The response to the new songs has been overwhelmingly positive; immediately embraced by fans, gatekeepers and critics worldwide. According to Mediabase (a top radio airplay monitoring service), the record-breaking “Raise Your Glass” is the No.1 most added song to Top 40 mainstream radio since its inception in 2006. The song also has the distinction of being the No. 1 most increased record at the Top 40 radio format in Mediabase history. This week the song jumps from the No. 9 position to No. 4 on Digital Songs charts and the video is in heavy rotation at MTV, MTV Hits and VH-1. Internationally the song has hit No.1 on charts in Australia and Germany, where it marks her seventh consecutive No. 1 airplay single. Additionally, the song is in the Top 10 on sales/airplay charts in the UK, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Finland Holland, Sweden and more.
Released this week, “F**kin’ Perfect” is already earning accolades: Entertainment Weekly.com, declares the song “another great anthem from Pink, showcasing her throaty vocals and rebel punk attitude.”
The standard version of The Greatest Hits… So Far!!! consists of 16 songs (the deluxe offers 18) ranging from her most recent, “Glitter In The Air,” “So What” to some of her early songs, “Get The Party Started,” and “Don’t Let Me Get Me” that reflect the history of a global superstar who has embodied all sides of what a woman could be throughout the past decade: gutsy and bashful, angry and apologetic, self-effacing and unabashedly spectacular, true to everything P!nk represents.
“Since I signed my record deal at 16, I’ve been basically growing up ever since, and just happened to be putting out albums that marked each chapter of that growth, “ P!nk says. “I sum up each chapter of my life with a record, and I never set out to do any certain thing. I’m growing up with my audience, and I’m driven by what’s going on inside and around me.”
Over the course of five groundbreaking albums P!nk (Alecia Moore) has successfully paved her way on her own terms as a talented singer/songwriter/performer.
The Pennsylvania native has earned the status of a global superstar, selling over 30 million albums, over 1 million DVD’s, and nearly 20 million iTunes tracks worldwide to date. Her previous album catalogue includes Can’t Take Me Home (2000), M!ssundaztood (2001), Try This (2003), I’m Not Dead (2006) and Funhouse (2008).
