With a hook that is reminiscent of Old Testament New Jack Swing Era (Think: Keith Sweat, Guy, Basic Black, Today et al) cooked up over a beat that is straight MPLS(80’s Prince and Flyte Tyme joints) O’Neal McKnight is set to conquer the dance floors this Summer. I almost had a flash back to my dance floor days, the days when songs like this were tailor made for the boogie and you could be assured that all hands would be up on the chorus.
The music here is just playful and fun, some great skips and pops in the production that are used to great effect. I’m a big synthesizer head and this track has some great synth work and they add a great texture to the vocal. Hoping that this one will be bangin’ at a jam or cookout near you this Summer.
