Oleta Adams was performing in a hotel bar in Kansas City, Missouri when the group Tears For Fears saw her and a few years later invited her to sing on their album and perform on tour. Her work with them restarted her solo career and led to a recording contract and a new album, Circle Of One. “Get Here”, a cover of the Brenda Russell song, was a big hit from that album and was nominated for a Grammy award.
