Been saying this for years, but far too often we speak in terms of what used to be instead of listening to what really is… J.Nolan is and has been consistently delivering the goods since we were made aware of his work several years ago. We are always excited when we can post this kind of music because it is a reminder that just because you don’t know or don’t hear that greatness is not still among us.

Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
