Part of this year’s International Soul Summit, was a partnership with the Peachtree International Film Festival for a weekend of great panels, music, networking and film screenings. More on this in an upcoming post. One of the screenings I attended was DJ Nab’s Diary of A Mad DJ. This documentary could be best described as a Hard Knocks (NFL reference) for real DJ’s.

For those not familiar, Nabs is a real DJ in every sense of the word. His passion, dedication, skills, knowledge and respect for the art and the culture is on par with the greats. The story chronicles his rise from part time mix show DJ, to touring the world with some of the greatest (Michael Jackson included) as well as the pitfalls in between. For hip hop fans, artists, DJ’s (celebrity dj’s need not apply) and dreamers, it’s an important story that needs to be told. I hope you’ll support this project as he takes this DVD sneak peak to the next level. Hit the jump for more clips and purchase information.
