Technically not a cover but this is where we will go this month with our AOM because his influence is just so far reaching and bits and pieces of his music has been incorporated by many, even the purple one.
Here we find Prince incorporating “Atomic Dog” into the bedrock of the track, it’s the percussion accent that doubles the “Woof” vocal that you will find entering around the 3:17 mark in the original and it makes its first appearance around the 1:30 mark in “love sign”. As we will continue to explore this month we will find that our AOM’s music is like Prego in a lot of songs… “He’s in there.”
Special out to Who Sampled for their extensive database of sampling and cover song credits.
