I would be completely remiss if I didn’t take the opportunity to post this gem today. This is really what I needed on a personal and creative level… no glitz, no glam just great music, heart, emotion, familial and creative ties.
That’s what this series is about. A great song. A great performance. Tied together by the love of music and family and then you add the incredible personal touch of one helluva writer/musician in the personage of Hamish Stuart (AWB, Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, Chaka Khan and many more) who co-wrote “Whatcha Gonna Do For Me” with Ned Doheny.
Emma Stuart, what can I say other than keep doing what you’re doing. I hear you and I hear the passion that you bring to your performance. The timbre of your voice is a very warm and pleasing sound to my ears and one that beckons me to listen again and again.
Oh and here’s the video that started my association with Grown Folks Music some 5 years ago…
A familiar face on guitar 🙂
