Our song of the day from 1990’s Pandemonium has this fan cherishing what he had actually forgotten about music made with a group dynamic… call and response the element that provides so much energy that doesn’t happen when you surround yourself, with yourself. The requisite “Hey Fellas!” is truly giving me life right now because it gives that feeling of us and as Morris gives direction in the arrangement for guitar and piano you feel a sense of team and personalities pulling together for a common cause which is to make you groove. Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
