Growns! Wanted to put you up on some newness from the Brooklyn-based soul/indie rock/electro band Rat Habitat. “Daddy Issues” features the work of Melanie Charles (vocals), Jordan Peters (guitar, production) and longtime friend to GFM Jesse Fischer(rhodes and organ). Musically “Daddy Issues” is anchored by an arresting three note motif which director Ohene Cornelius mirrors so eloquently in the visuals.
This mood is contemplative for sure and I would say that this is music well-suited to those introspective moments that happen as part of this life journey. Layered, “Daddy Issues” beckons for repeat listening to grasp what you may have missed on the first couple of spins. This is the type of thinking/listening music necessary to balance out the audio diet.
