In this day and age where everything surrounding music masquerades as seemingly free there is one type of currency that is of the utmost importance and quite hard to place a dollar amount on and that is attention. As a grown I have learned to take my time. I know what I like. I know what I want and I give my undivided attention to those endeavors. Sure there are microwaves and they serve a purpose. They are fast, convenient but when I want to cook, like really cook it’s time to preheat and move some pans and thangs around.
I approach my music the same way. You can keep that 1:30 hot pocket and give me some slow-cooked, well seasoned pulled-pork any day of the week. Oh I might have to wait a little, but it’s worth wait to me and because the end result is a pleasurable experience it guarantees that I will return for more.
