Love is the order of the day for Saturday, May 10th in Washington D.C., as the 2nd Annual DC Love Fest featuring Yasiin Bey (Mos Def), Chrisette Michelle, Bilal and Lysette Titi takes center stage at DAR Constitution Hall. Hosted by Maimouna Youssef, the DC Love Fest was created to promote creative commerce and celebrate the diverse culture of the District and this year’s event will feature vendors, boutique trunk shows, culinary arts, bars, live entertainment and so much more.
The inaugural concert found native son Raheem DeVaughn rocking the stage alongside Marsha Ambrosius, but this year’s triple-threat headliners are a diverse, multifaceted trio aimed to treat concert goers as their music and personas each represent “love” so deeply.
Additionally, the 2nd Annual DC Love Fest will serve as the Washington, D.C. leg of official sponsor’s Okayplayer’s 15th birthday party. Along with Okayplayer, this year’s event is being sponsored by Carolina Kitchen, BEAM and Buick.
