Legendary drummer Earl Palmer passes away at 84

Legendary drummer Earl Palmer died on September 19th at age 84.  A New Orleans native, he was known for his work with Little Richard, who called him "the greatest session drummer of all time" and artists across the music spectrum, from Motown classics to Frank Sinatra and the Beach Boys.

He was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and kept making music until his passing this year.
