Grown Folks Music would like to take this time to pause and reflect on the life and legacy of Billy Paul. Mostly associated with his 1972 #1 hit and Grammy award winning single “Me and Mrs. Jones” Paul’s career and creative output spanned the worlds of Jazz, R&B and Soul his influence put into perspective by Questlove by stating that Billy Paul is: “one of the criminally unmentioned proprietors of socially conscious post-revolution ’60s civil rights music.”
