Can I get a Yes? A yes from anyone out there who knows what this is all about? If you don’t know hang around here long enough and you will know. The ladies of KING have released this lovely trailer trumpeting the release of their highly-anticipated debut album We Are King which will be released February 5th, 2016 on KING Creative, with a pre-sale purchase available on December 3rd, 2015. The album features new songs Carry On, Love Song, The Greatest, Native Land, The Right One, Oh Please!, and Red Eye.
If you have been fortunate enough to be immersed in the sonic goodness that is The Story EP which they dropped in 2011 then you know how big this is… heck, just listen to the music in this trailer and hear how big this will be. I’m not talking big in sales(if that happens I think that will be fantastic as well)but I’m excited about the potential impact of some great music done by great musicians in the atmosphere. This is the return that we value here, a return to great in all aspects of the art form known as music.

Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
