Just a quick note of congrats to Adele and all the winners and nominees from last evening’s Grammys. Even though Adele’s visibility has benefited from her label’s relationship with Sony, it still feels good when great music rules the day. No gimmicks, no look at how outrageous I can be, just music. Music is, was and probably will always be the theater of the mind, yes the visuals can be compelling but if what I’m hearing does not match up with all the pageantry of what I’m seeing, we have a problem. If more people spent more time on what they sound like than what they look like then the Adele’s of the world would be more the rule than the exception.
