The song “Trust In Me” has had a few lives. Written by Ned Wever, Milton Ager and Jean Schwartz– the song was first popularized in 1937 by Mildred Bailey. It was revived again in 1951 before Etta James recorded it in 1961. Her recording of the song peaked on the charts at #30. It has since been recorded by other artists including Dinah Washington and Beyonce’ Knowles for the soundtrack to the film Cadillac Records. “Trust In Me”, from Etta James’ debut album At Last!
