You know how we do here on GFM with our “Cover Me” series… today we bring another homage to our Artist of the Month: The Original 7ven (The Band Formerly Known As The Time) from none other than Snoop. This track was produced by Teddy Riley and comes from Snoop’s 2008 project Ego Trippin’. Another testament to how great music has longevity and the other kind may last only a season, or sometimes a day or two.
Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
