Growns, you know it has been well documented in these here pages that I don’t generally “’tis the season” until after I’ve tussled with the turkey. However, there are times when even I make notable exceptions. When two of those exceptions converge on the same project well, yeah even your Love Man will gladly concede 🙂 I mean who could in good conscience sit on a new offering like this that features one of our favorite singers that is the embodiment of all things good and grown and a song that has become a Christmas season evergreen? Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
