One of the most beautiful, powerful voices around. Some may remember her during her days as a session vocalist for Teddy Pendergrass, Billy Ocean and many more. Others remember her as the featured background singer for Luther Vandross throughout his career, both on albums anhttps://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n4ZyCPhVvvMd tours.
More recently she has continued to tour with Tina Turner and The Rolling Stones. Here she is, with her 1992 Grammy Award winning hit, How Can I Ease The Pain (Lisa Fischer, Narada Michael Walden), So Intense, (Elektra/1991).
Hopefully, she’ll find time between writing and touring to bless us with the long awaited, rumored new album we’ve been hearing about.

Ivan Orr is a multi-instrumentalist, composer, performer, and writer. A native of Charlottesville, Virginia Ivan was involved with the forming and nascent days of The Music Resource Center as its first Program Director. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan currently resides in Richmond, VA where he maintains an active performance and production schedule while serving as the Music Editor for Grown Folks Music, a position he has held since 2010.
Teddy Pendergrass was a true icon, and the music world will not be the same without him. His music brought hope to to many people all over the globe. RIP Teddy!
