We wanted to take some time out today to pay tribute to and offer our most heartfelt condolences to the family of Soul Music Pioneer Solomon Burke. Solomon Burke, along with several other Soul Icons, represent the nascent fusion of the sanctified gospel with the secular Rhythm and Blues. This is the space where Soul exists, more than a music Soul is a way of living that was documented in the music of Solomon Burke. May he rest in peace.
