It’s ya girl, WestStyle Chronicles here to bring you another great event with our partners Music Addikts and Harmony In Life! In this special “Hot Mama” series, the crowd was entertained by the female voices of Gabbie McGee, Salakida and Carmen Rodgers. The looooooong awaited video from Anthony David from one of our top 10 songs of 2010, Forever More, made it’s debut on BET’s 106 & Park earlier this week. It was directed by none other than Phil The God and features a gang of stars and local celebrities including: Eric Roberson, Phonte, Jodine Dorce, DJ Kemit, Taiye Samuel, Keisha Jackson, Jamal Ahmad, Carmen Rodgers and many more. Last week I had the great opportunity of hanging backstage with The Foreign Exchange crew for Zo!’s SunStorm CD Release Spectacular.  Now many of you may be wondering what this talented bunch are really like before they hit the stage. Well, we decided to get a little up close and personal with Nicolay, Phonte, Sy Smith, Yahzarah, Darien Brockington and of course the man of the night, Zo! to bring you some funny moments and their great show in the ATL!!! Slum Village rapper Baatin dead at 35

Detroit native, known for spiritual lyrics, had recently returned to group

Titus (Baatin) Glover, the Detroit rapper who co-founded the much-acclaimed Slum Village, has died.

The circumstances of his death remain unknown, associates said this afternoon. Baatin’s body was found this morning in the 14000 block of Anglin Street and is at the Wayne County medical examiner’s office, said family friend Ty Townson.

Funeral arrangements are not yet set. Friends and family members will gather for a public remembrance at 8 p.m. Sunday at Elements Gallery, 2125 Michigan Avenue in Detroit.
