GFM ATL Fam make sure that you are in the place at Smith’s Olde Bar – Atlanta Room on Saturday for the final stop on Carmen Rodgers’ Cocktails and Conversations Tour. Doors are at 7pm and you don’t want to miss the musical fireworks of this grand finale with special guest Jon Bibbs.
Coming off the critically acclaimed Bitter Suite which spawned the hot single/video “It’s Me” – Carmen’s been writing and getting her creative juices pumping for the eagerly anticipated Intermission that will be available world-wide in the Fall. In the meantime, Carmen is doing something special for the fans which will allow a sneak peak before the project is advanced to media or anywhere else!
“The Cocktails and Conversations” tour which kicks off in NY – debuting at the fabulous Nu-Soul Series which is a monthly showcase of seriously new and incredible talent on Saturday, May 19th at Frank’s Lounge. Stops along the tour currently are: D.C, Chicago, Atlanta, St. Louis and more to be confirmed.
Earlier this month we had the opportunity to catch the 1st Hit Listening Lounge with the incredible DJ Salah Ananse and our beloved host Jodine Dorce with Jordine’s Corner. In this special “Hot Mama” series, the crowd was entertained by the female voices of Gabbie McGee, Salakida and Carmen Rodgers. Great stuff as always from DJ Kemit, as he presents his Donny Hathaway tribute mix as promo in conjunction with the live tribute last night in Atlanta. By all accounts, it was an incredible event featuring Avery Sunshine, Carmen Rodgers, Terrance Downs, India Arie and Frank McComb.
