Happy Birthday-DJ Premier!!!

What more can I say??? A big birthday shout out to one of the best who ever put it down. Period. DJ Premier is what I refer to as a real(reel)producer. His style did not come in some box like instant oatmeal. It’s as real and big as it gets.

I just wanted to put up a few clips in tribute to that undeniable sound.

A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music(Jazz Studies Emphasis) with a minor in African American Studies. During the 1990’s and early 2000’s Ivan was involved with The Music Resource Center in Charlottesville, VA.
