Get Grown=Joni Mitchell/Help Me
A few months ago we introduced a series where we kindly suggested that folks “Grow The Hell Up” now I would like to implement a series that will challenge you to the immediacy of the request to “Get Grown”. “Get Grown” will feature music that as a GFM’er you should become well acquainted with. There are no preconceptions as far as genre etc., this is about great music plain and simple. No eras, no particular movements, just music. No explanations, no watered excuses, just music that will be played and discovered for years to come.
Up first is “Help Me” the 1974 hit from Joni Mitchell.

Ivan Orr is a musician/social critic whose creative output runs the gamut from provocative to entertaining. A graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University’s Department of Music, Ivan holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music(Jazz Studies Emphasis) with a minor in African American Studies. During the 1990’s and early 2000’s Ivan was involved with The Music Resource Center in Charlottesville, VA.
