Gotta admit this isn’t quite what I expected from “Radio Raheem” for the first single–an uptempo jam that leans toward the pop side, but it isn’t that the song is bad. Gotta leave room for an artist to switch his style up. Whatever the case, we dig Raheem DeVaughn and look forward to the new album, A Place Called Loveland due in July.
“Don’t call. Come get me, ’cause I need your help.” Feeling some kind of way about this soulful and honest song from GFM fave Leon Timbo. Everyone needs a friend to have his or her back at least once in a lifetime and this song tells that story. All who listen will be able to relate to it. Also, the song is simple and pure and not overproduced. That makes it a breath of fresh air. However, gotta keep in 100… the video is not in sync the song. Just wanted to focus on Leon performing the song… no special effects needed. But the foundation, which is the song, is sound and strong.
Tamela Mann has finally released a video for her truth telling, Grammy-nominated anthem, “Take Me To The King” The video features Tamela’s powerhouse live performance of “Take Me To The King,” which moved the audience to worship along with Tamela on the 2013 Stellar Gospel Music Awards. And, she looks stunning, to boot. Enjoy.
What is there to say about this record except it has the right title. The song is guaranteed to heat up those special evenings and the video warms things up without going too far and leaves the ending of the story up to imagination of the viewer. Enjoy.
Our friends over at YouKnowIGotSoul caught up with Fantasia and with all of the interviews out discussing her personal life, YouKnowIGotSoul took the opportunity to really dig into the new album “Side Effects of You”, discuss her musicality and voice, decision to go with Harmony on producing the whole album, “Rock Soul” movement, and much more. Enjoy.
Gotta say that we are encouraged by this one and actually applaud this different and unexpected look from Cash Money/Young Money Records. And, legends like Stevie Wonder do not attach themselves to anything that is less than right, so his genius on this track is a blessing to PJ Morton and to us. Well done. This is how we like our R&B.
